Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is a form of safety glass. It is two panes of glass stuck together with a thin sheet between them.

This means that when the glass is broken, the glass remains in place.

It is the law to have laminated glass as safety glass in public buildings.

Laminated comes in many thicknesses including:

  • 4.4mm
  • 6.4mm
  • 7.8mm
  • 8.8mm
  • 10.8mm
  • 11.8mm

We stock 4.4mm & 6.4mm. Other thicknesses have to be ordered in.

Low E Laminated Glass is available in 6.4mm for use in laminated units.

Patterned Laminated glass is also available in 7.8mm but only available in 3 patterns, which include:

  • Stippolyte
  • Minster
  • Sycamore

Laminated glass can be used in conjunction to all other types of glass in unit manufacture.
